How to get a selfie with a horn-toothed dragon: Get your face painted
It’s a story that started with a photo on a social media site, and is now making the rounds on Instagram.
In an Instagram post, a photo posted on the photo sharing platform on March 6 showed a woman with a white horn-covered face, and a caption reading, “A horned dragon.”
It was captioned, “My wife’s been wanting to take a selfie for years, but I’ve always wanted to pose with a dragon.”
The photo was shared more than 100,000 times and has been shared thousands of times, with many sharing it as a way to show appreciation for a creature that is beloved by some people.
“There is no better way to honor a legend, than to give one a dragon-themed selfie,” said Vanessa Dickey, a veterinarian at the Humane Society of the United States.
In the caption, she writes that she was inspired to photograph the dragon after a few friends asked her to pose for a photo.
She said she was thinking about how to use a dragon as a backdrop, and wanted to use her dragon to symbolize the power of love.
“I thought it would be a fun way to say thank you to someone who has helped me achieve my dreams and inspire me with my ideas,” Dickey said.
“When I saw this photo, I was so excited and just wanted to take it,” she said.
“I thought this would be an opportunity for someone to get their own dragon-related selfie.”
Dickey said that a lot of people who post dragon photos on social media have the image of a dragon tattooed on their back, or the dragon in their face.
They often use dragon horns and scales to represent their dragon’s size, or their ability to eat and defend itself.
But when the dragon is painted on a human face, it is a little more difficult to get it right, Dickey noted.
People often use a selfie stick, which looks like a camera that has been painted on the skin, as a stand-in for a dragon.
She pointed to the photo posted by a man who took a photo of himself posing with a painted dragon on his chest.
“It just made me think, why not?” she said, adding that it is important to make sure that the dragon you are taking a picture with is a real one.
The National Wildlife Federation has taken a strong stance on the use of dragon horns as a symbol.
In a blog post on March 4, the organization wrote that while the use is common, the images have “never been proven scientifically.”
The NFW also noted that the horns and dragons are very dangerous creatures, and should be treated with extreme caution.
“If someone does have the courage to take the time to put their life on the line to take this photo with a real dragon, it would behoove them to know that the consequences of doing so could be dire,” the NFW wrote.
