Lex Horne dies after a battle with a cat
AUSTIN, Texas — Lex Horne, a Texas television personality, died Monday after battling a cat named the “horned claw.”
Horne, 51, died at the hospital, his family confirmed.
He was the host of the ABC program “Horned Claw.”
The cat, named the Horned Claw by his trainer, had been seen roaming the grounds at the Fox Theater in downtown Austin.
The ABC show is one of the most popular shows in Texas, and Horne often appeared in the studio.
In 2016, he made headlines after he got into a fight with a female guest and was hospitalized.
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that Horne had died, but did not provide details.
His family could not be reached for comment.
Horne had been on leave from his job at the network and had been filming the show in New York.
A photo of the cat was posted on his Facebook page, captioned “Wake up, you’re not dreaming.”
He also posted a video of him and his wife, Sarah, who are both actors.
